That’s a Wrap for Christmas 202027th October 2020
We are now up and running, and we have our new handing facilities ready to bring all the trees though. Every tree we sell passes through this building. They’re chopped, measured, pruned to their best shape and then wrapped. Once this is all done, the trees then move onto their next stage of being assembled onto their designated pallets.
We supply two grades of timbers. We have a strict grading policy to ensure the right tree goes to the correct category. Our Grading officers have been busy ensuring all of the trees are up to the standard we strive for here at Galloway Woodlands. Our PREMIUM Trees are identified as having the perfect shape, fullest foliage and most vibrant green colour. Our STANDARD Trees are brilliant value for money, they may not have a symmetrical shape or as full foliage as our Premium Trees but they are still very pleasing on the eye!
While undertaking the grading process, we ensure there’s enough of the bottom branches cut away to expose the base of the tree, which makes it easier to mount in your stand at Christmas time. Cutting the bottom branches maximises airflow and helps to control fungal diseases. Our good friends over at Crimbotrees have Christmas tree stands available that will fit your tree perfectly!
New Sorting Facilities
We have made the ideal space outside to sort and make the pallets up ready to be collected and sent out to our valued trade customers. When ordering the trees, trades can choose to assemble single or multiple pallets of full (one size) or mixed (numerous sizes) of trees. We pride ourselves on being organised and proving the best service we possibly can.
Once Ordered & How to Store
Once an order is received, we will contact you by telephone within 72 hours to confirm the exact delivery date. We supply our Christmas Trees up to 250cm tall in nets, any taller than this, are delivered loose. Once delivered, the trees must be unpacked from their pallets and kept cold, outdoors and watered if possible, this ensures the Christmas trees will stay as healthy as possible. If the trees are left packed on their pallets/crates, horizontally, for a prolonged period, the trees will shed their needles and lose their perfect shape.
We are also happy to announce that we are SOLD OUT for Christmas 2020. We would like to thank all of our customers and we look forward to seeing all our trees in and around Scotland!
